A half-day or double lesson introduction to donut hockey is an easy and practical way to learn the game while providing an unforgettable event for the whole team. No prior knowledge is necessary—teachers of all disciplines and age groups are welcome and will feel at ease. The program is tailored to the group, materials are provided for free. We look forward to your inquiry!
ALL-INCLUSIVE STARTER KITS
The Burnershop offers ready-made kits that allow you to get started right away, as well as all the individual components you need to upgrade your equipment or replace parts. If you want to try it out first, you can borrow a complete kit from the media library at the University of Bern and the PH Bern. The sports offices of various cantons also offer kits for loan.
DONUT HOCKEY ON MOBILESPORT
In the monthly theme 8/2020 of Mobilesport Donut Hockey is presented in detail – a crash course for teaching and training, including a competence-oriented test battery. The article is available in German/ French/ Italian Language.
COMPETENCE-BASED DONUT HOCKEY TEST
Simple, easy to organize testing for all levels of players, developed by Muriel Sutter and Gian Gmünder (BA-Thesis, University of Basel 2020). Available in German/French/Italian language.
DONUT HOCKEY AS OFF ICE TRAINING IN ICE HOCKEY
Donut Hockey is also an attractive option as a complementary sport or “off ice training” for ice hockey players. As part of his bachelor thesis at the university, Dominik Schlegel investigated the role of donut hockey as off ice training for ice hockey in the Ochsner Academy’s camp series. INSPIRATION AND EXCHANGE – PROJECT TRICK BOOK
Olivier Küng created within his bachelor thesis at DSBG University of Basel the project TRICKBOOK, a platform with individual creative tutorials for Donut Hockey. Each trick is shown in SloMo and instructions are presented.
1ST DONUT HOCKEY INTERNATIONAL OPEN
10 Teams from Canada, Finland, Germany, Italy, Taiwan and Switzerland fought for the victory within the 1st International Tournament. Finland won after a thrilling finale in the penalty shootout, but everyone shared the winners cake and the great game atmosphere.

Annual summer hospital posting since 2018 - this time obviously due to heavy posttraumatic stress syndrome leading into mean panic and heavy pain attacks. This might sound less dramatic than the broken bone stories from last years, but, believe me, the challenge to face this is real 😞
But after all, I am still convinced to go through this as well and come back stronger. There are so many games left to play, emotions to share, and moments to just live and love. Keep burning, I look forward to seeing you on playground and dancefloor again ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
